Melina Davis, a trusted leader with executive experience, has successfully guided businesses across healthcare, technology, and nonprofits. As a start-up founder, board director, and CEO, she has brought diverse groups together to collaborate to achieve significant and strategic goals. Her entrepreneurial approach, focus on engagement, and impactful results have raised over $140 million for health and human services and lead to the elevation of each organization she’s led.

Melina, the CEO and EVP of the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV), has led a 350+% revenue growth. She’s also spearheaded innovative solutions, such as the SafeHaven legislation and program, which provides healthcare clinicians’ mental health and well-being protections. She was selected to serve as an international member of Hyperloop Transportation Technology, Inc.’s network and as a HyperLeader as part of HTT’s U.S. Public Affairs Team. Over the past 20 years, Melina has become a thought leader and strategist in the nonprofit industry specializing in cause marketing, engagement and strategic partnerships.
She also founded PlanG Holdings, Inc., a company and cause marketing engagement platform. Melina with two other co-founders was granted a preliminary US Patent related to this start-up platform. Previous positions include leadership roles at the American Lung Association of the Atlantic Coast, Core Technology and National MS Society of Central Virginia. Melina was recognized by Richmond Magazine,Virginia Business Magazine and Inside Business throughout her career. She also received the Virginia Business Magazine’s Women in Leadership Award and was named on the 2024 & 2025 Virginia Power List. As founder of PlanG, she won awards from Richmond Venture Forum, RichTech, Fortune, and FastCompany. MSV received the coveted gold award and was named a Top Workplace by the Richmond Times Dispatch and Virginia Business Magazine.
She serves on the Virginia Credit Union Board of Directors as compensation chair and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Foundation Board of Directors as chair. She’s also on the Poland-based Alliance for Innovation Board of Supervisors. She has served on the Fast Company Executive Board and is on the American Medical Association’s Advocacy Resource Center Executive Committee. She is also an accomplished keynote speaker and panelist as well as host of the JoyMed Podcast. Melina holds an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA in International Studies from the University of South Carolina.

STEP 2: Research Speakers, Determine Event, Decide Dates
- Discuss why you would like to Research the topics and speakers you are most interested in.
- Determine the type of event: In-Person vs. Virtual. Standard presentations are 60 minutes (45-50 minutes of speaking and time left for questions).
- Choose tentative dates and times for your booking.
STEP 3: Figure Out Budget and Confirm Funding
Speaker engagements can begin at $2,500 for a virtual event and begin at $4,550 for an in-person event. Pricing is all-inclusive with speaker honorariums, travel and accommodations, event team management training, and virtual tech assistance. The final total can vary depending on the specific speaker chosen.

STEP 4: Request Speaker
It is recommended that you reach out to the Speakers Team to start the booking process as early as possible. Eight to 12 weeks prior to your event is most ideal.
The busiest months are January-April and September-November.
